Searching the catalogue
4 different elements can be entered in the search box: Name of composer, title of work, code and index.
The code is the library’s accession number. It identifies the work to the librarian.
The index is the digit-dot-digit code that categorises the work according to the forces required. The number after the decimal indicates how many recorder parts there are. The number before the decimal indicates what other instruments, if any, are involved - see the index number key below. Examples: A piece of music for recorder quartet would have the index 1.4 ; a piece for 2 recorders and basso continuo would have the index 4.2. Enter the required index number into the search box to browse all pieces in the collection for the forces you have in mind.
